The Festival offers an opportunity to playfully explore the body in motion and meet each other through physical interactions; to spend time outside, exploring the landscape and fully engaging with both its resources and its challenges. Throughout the process, Mr.Kriss, Marina Sekacheva and Bruno Caverna, assisted by the live soundscape of Harel, will guide participants in daily activities sharing their knowledge and unique approach to movement.

Workshop topics:
  • A free spine and fluid joints
  • Soft, effortless floorwork
  • Balance through risk and trust
  • The art of falling
  • Threading movement into expression
  • Minimalism as a source of depth and creativity

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Elasticity & Lightness
Dancer, choreographer and teacher in the field of Contemporary Dance and Formless Arts Movement Philosophy. Since 1999, she has been exploring the relationship between body and consciousness through a continuous practice of diverse movement languages and artistic forms. Her research integrates contemporary dance, waacking, martial arts, play-fight practice, liquid body practice, and freediving, forming a multidisciplinary approach to movement and embodied presence. Teaching contemporary dance since 2010 and facilitating Play-Fight Practice since 2016, she is the creator of the dance courses Dissolution and Paper Body. With over 14 years of teaching experience, she has shared her work internationally in Brazil, Spain, Russia, France, Egypt, Italy, and Belgium. A graduate of the Institute of Music, Theater and Choreography at Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University in St. Petersburg, she is currently based in Brussels, working as an independent artist and educator.
“Taken by Surprise” is a movement workshop that explores individual expression, improvisation, partnering, object-based practice, and embodied awareness, where spontaneity and unpredictability become key forces in discovering self-expression through movement — in solo practice, partnership, and group work. of technique, conditions and sensitivity to surrounding forces.

The main focus of the practice is to harmoniously combine inner sensation with physical movement vocabulary in order to awaken individual creativity. Dance is one of the most ancient bodily ways of expressing our inner world through movement. This workshop enters a space of uncertainty and not-knowing, where the next moment cannot be predicted. To navigate this process with clarity and confidence, participants work with a shared map — a physical alphabet, clear directions, and specific conditions that support communication through the body.
  • Developing creativity through improvisation
  • Moving in cooperation with gravitational force
  • Following the direction of momentum
  • Dancing through states of relaxation and falling
  • Exploring connections and bodily integrity
  • Expanding creative possibilities of imagination
  • Experiencing the influence of speed and space
  • Games and practices with objects
  • Inner sensation as the main navigator of movement

TAKEN BY SURPRISE
Bruno Caverna has been immersed in multidisciplinary body–mind studies for nearly 40 years, beginning with Capoeira in 1987 and unfolding through Acrobatics, Contemporary Dance, Contact Improvisation, Russian Systema, Watsu, freediving and breath-work. His teaching path began in 1995 with a capoeira program in a psychiatric hospital, an experience that forged the deconstructive and adaptive pedagogical foundations that continue to shape his work.

In 2012 Bruno gave birth to the Play-Fight and Liquid Body practices, both emerging from his long-term research into embodiment, relational intelligence and the dynamics of conflict and cooperation. In 2016 he founded Formless Arts, an international platform dedicated to cultivating a community of self-responsible practitioners across disciplines.

Drawing from decades of inquiry and particularly from the internal martial principles transmitted by Alexander Solovev, in 2023 Bruno distilled his knowledge into GFP – Gravitational Field Principle, a somatic education program exploring falling, adaptability and co-regulation with natural forces. In 2025 he formed the first generation of GFP Practitioners.

Bruno is also a certified freediving instructor with the Molchanov School and the founder of Functional Apnea, a breath-work methodology informed by the Buteyko Method and Oxygen Advantage.
Play-Fight is a core practice within Formless Arts, weaving raw physicality with a movement philosophy that brings awareness to our unconscious resistances to gravity and the pervasive human fear of falling—physically, emotionally, and existentially. Through playful yet incisive physical drills, participants learn to recognize, acknowledge and transform lifelong patterns of hidden tension and protective holding. The practice cultivates empowerment by recycling these blockages into adaptability, sensitivity and creative responsiveness. At its heart, Play-Fight explores the ecology of relationship: the continuous dance between cooperation and confrontation, where instinct, curiosity and mutual awareness become the ground for authentic encounter.
  • Recognizing dysfunctional moving patterns
  • Mapping the inner landscapes of physical blockages
  • Embodying principles of effortlessness
  • Pursuit of mental relaxation by confronting discomfortable zones
  • Kinetic power vs internal power
  • Chysical contact vs connectedness
  • Intention vs intent
  • Principles of non-resistance and effortlessness
  • Falling as a state of being
